“A New Hallelujah”
Michael W. Smith
Gwen:There is a moment just before we sing. A breath is taken. A note is found. Voices that have traveled through different joys and different burdens begin to join together.
We come from our separate lives into a shared song. We leave behind the illusion that we are alone and discover again that we belong to one another. Some voices are strong and confident. Some are quiet and uncertain. Some carry grief. Some carry gratitude. Yet when we sing together, every voice becomes part of something larger than itself.
“Let Love Be” · Laurie Bayen
Let Love Be, Let us do Justice, Hold to what is good
Let us love one another as a family,
Let us welcome the stranger as our own
L:The psalms remind us to "make a joyful noise to the Lord." Not a perfect noise. Not a polished noise. A joyful one. A wholehearted one.
All:Today, as we sing, may we remember that our songs are more than music. They are prayers.
L:They are acts of hope. They are declarations that love is stronger than fear and that God is present among us.
All:Let us sing—not because our voices are flawless, but because God's love is. Amen.
Gwen:The Peace of Christ be with you.
All:And also with you.
Gwen:You are invited to pass the peace among you, remembering to pass it to those joining us remotely.
“10,000 Reasons”
Matt Redman
Our Mother, Father, Our Mother, Father
Who art in heaven, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name, Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven, On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day, Give us this day
Our daily bread, Our daily bread
And forgive us all our sins, And forgive us all our sins
And lead us not, And lead us not
Into temptation, Into temptation
But deliver us from evil, But deliver us from evil
For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory
Forever, Forever
And ever, And ever
Our Mother, Father, Our Mother, Father
Who art in heaven, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name, Hallowed be thy name
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty firmament!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his surpassing greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with clanging cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!
